Be Ready to Say "NO" to Sex

Picture
Birth control pills (aka “oral contraceptives”) are perhaps the easiest form of birth control to use. They require basically two skills: (1) the ability to swallow a small pill; and (2) the discipline to perform that task daily and on schedule.

Express yourself when it come to saying “NO” to sex. No risk now. No regret later. It’s your future.

If someone says: “Come on, just this once.”You can say: “I’d rather save myself for someone who will love me for life.”

If someone says: “What could it hurt? You can say: “My heart, my mind, my body, my future.”

If someone says: “What are you afraid of?You can say: “AIDS. HPV, gonoorrhea, syphilis, chlamydia, herpes, and about 20 other STDs.”

If someone says: “Don’t you want to know what it’s like?”You can say: “I don’t want to know what it’s like to get an STI, get pregnant, or live with memories I’d rather forget.”

If someone says: “It will make a man out of you.”You can say: “Being a man has nothing to do with having sex.”

If someone says: “Don’t you love me enough to have sex with me?”You can say: “Don’t you love me enough NOT to have sex with me?”

The brain is powerful. Avoid situations that keep it from being in control.
  • Alcohol – Drinking impairs your judgment. Most date rape incidents involve alcohol.
  • Drugs – Drugs seriously mess with your mind. In addition to running the risk of having unwanted sex, you could end up in jail, and cause permanent damage to your mind and body.
  • Exhaustion – When you’re tired, it’s hard to think straight. Don’t put yourself in a situation where you’re not alert enough to make good choices.
  • Emotions – If you just broke up with someone, or something bad is going on in your life, don’t try to ease the pain by doing something that can hurt you more.
  • Isolation – You’re a lot less likely to lose control if you’re around others, especially responsible adults.
Say it your way. Just make sure you “No!”
